Utah Brazilian Festival 2010
With last year’s success in Salt Lake City,
the community was anxiously expecting the
event in 2010 to be bigger and better and
they got it. The people requested and we did
it again: Márcio Mendes and Mix Brazil Band
were back to Utah with more musicians and
instruments and double the fun. The community
support was bigger than ever and the opening
“Samba Carnaval Parade” was colorful and
counted with the participation of people from
all ages.
Benefit and Press Dinner , August 25, 2010
Sponsors, supporters, and friends of the
Utah Brazilian Festival met with the press
for the official opening of the festival on
August 25, 2010 at Tucanos Brazilian Grill
Restaurant, in Salt Lake City. The entertainment
of the evening was provided by local artists
and special guests. Participants of the dinner
took part of raffles and prizes donated b y the
sponsors of the Utah Brazilian Festival. This is
the first year that the fundraising dinner was
open to the public.
Utah Brazilian Festival 2009
The 5th Utah Brazilian Festival was great
in attendance and participation of the public.
Over 8.000 people came to the mall to enjoy a
Brazilian Day at the Gateway. With Marcio
Mendes and Mix Brazil Band the event lasted
and hour longer due to the energy of the
public and the performers who did not want
the party or the show to stop!
Utah Brazilian Festival 2008
The 4th edition of the Utah Brazilian Festival
was held in Salt Lake City for the first time.
Thanks to the sponsorship of Tucanos Brazilian
Grill the event was free to the public. Katia
Moraes and Pure Samba Group were the main
attraction this year and evoked the songs and
emotions from different regions of Brazil.
This was also the first year that we had the
“Samba Carnaval Parade” opening the festivities.
