Utah Brazilian Festival - 2011

With last year’s success in Salt Lake City, the community was anxiously expecting the event in 2011 to be bigger and better and they got it. This yearthe band Show Brazil with Eduardo Mendonça will be the main attraction. The community support was bigger than ever and the opening “Samba Carnaval Parade” was colorful and counted with the participation of people from all ages. The Samba Fogo Drummers and Dancers set the tone for the parade again this year with their typical costumes and Brazilian Rhythms. The food court brought the most delicious Brazilian dishes and desserts and people was always coming back for more. Thank you for making the Utah Brazilian Festival a great success again this year!

Benefit and Press Dinner , August 24, 2011

Sponsors,supporters, and friends of the Utah Brazilian Festival will meet with the press for the official opening of the festival on August 24, 2011 at Tucanos Brazilian Grill Restaurant in Salt Lake City.
The entertainment for the evening will be provided by local artists and special guests. Participants at the dinner will take part in raffles of prizes donated by the sponsors and food providers of the Utah Brazilian Festival.
This is the second year the fundraising dinner will be open to the public. The Viva Brazil Scholarship program recipients will be presented again this year. This program will help selected students pay some of the costs of their education.
This evening is an opportunity to recognize our sponsors and supporters and to strengthen our relationships with the friends of the Utah Brazilian Festival that keep these traditions alive and make this festival possible.
